X1 Not Accepting my Registration Code

With the release of X1 Professional Client version 6.2 in March of 2008, X1 introduced a registration code format change, moving from a 13 digit to a 16 digit registration code format. The older 13 digit codes continued to be valid forms of registration while the new registration format was being introduced and fully integrated into the product. With the release of X1 version 6.2.4 this integration process is complete. 

Beginning with the release of version 6.2.4, X1 will only accept registration codes that are 16 characters in length. If you have an older 13 character registration code you will not be able to unlock v6.2.4 or later releases. Continuing to install the product without a valid 16 digit code will cause X1 to install as a 14 day trial.

Purchases of X1 include:

  • A perpetual use license – a license to use the version of X1 made available to you at the time of purchase  for as long as that version continues to function. 

    Your license is active as of the date of purchase. You "unlock" the X1 product as a fully purchased product by entering the registration code provided to you at the time of purchase.

  • Access to software maintenance releases and product upgrades for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase. If Software Assurance is also purchased, then you will have access to software maintenance releases and product upgrades for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase.

    Software maintenance releases are made available via the X1 Support Portal,http://www.x1.com/support/portal/.

  • Access to X1 Technical Support for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase. IfSoftware Assurance is also purchased, then you will have access to submit Technical Support requests for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase.
