If you have installed and then uninstalled Outlook/Office 2010 (Office 14) Beta, Visio 2010 Beta or Project 2010 Beta, and you are receiving the below message when trying to Open, Reply, Forward, etc. emails from X1, then it's likely that you are experiencing the result of an incomplete uninstall of the 2010 beta product.
Contents of warning dialog:
"Unable to locate this email message. It may have been either deleted, moved, or is located in a profile that is not currently connected. If the email profile was changed while X1 was running re-start X1 to re-establish connection."
It's quite likely that when the 2010 beta product was uninstalled not all of the associated registry keys were removed. We've determined that you will experience this problem if you still have any of the following registry keys:
1. Close Outlook and X1 using File > Exit (verify that the X1.exe process is stopped via Task Manager)
2. Download this file: http://www.x1.com/cs/outlook2010.zip
3. Extract the downloaded ZIP file
4a. WinXP users
Double-click the extracted outlook2010.bat file to run (this will make a backup copy of the registry entries, just in case,
and will then remove the entries)
Users with UAC (User Account Control) turned on should right-click the BAT file and select Run as administrator
5. Launch X1 and see if you are now able to either open, reply or forward an email from X1
