Federation (All Search) searches across all of your data sources simultaneously, finding information whether stored anywhere in your Outlook account (Email, Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, etc.), Lotus Notes, or any documents or files.
The X1 Professional Client's source list limits your Results List to specific sources (Email, Documents, Contacts, etc.) to drill down to relevant information with a single click. For instance, clicking on the Email tab limits results to emails.
To search across all of your data sources, select the All tab
Select All from the All Searches pane:
The All search displays results, regardless of email or file type, in one list. The icons to the left of the text denote which application or file type they belong to.
