Gmail Two-Step Authentication (2FA) Setup
X1 Search fully supports Google’s two-step authentication (2FA), and the setup process is quick and straightforward.
How to Authenticate Your Gmail or Google Drive Account
- Open X1 Search and navigate to Configured Data Sources.
- Select either Gmail or Google Drive to begin the authentication process.
- Your default web browser will automatically open to the Google sign-in page.
Complete the Google Sign-In
- Sign in with the Google account you want to connect (if you are not already logged in).
- If two-step authentication is enabled on your account, complete the verification step (e.g., approve the prompt, enter a code, etc.).
- Review the requested permissions and click Allow or Continue to grant access.
Finalize in X1 Search
- Once authentication is complete, the browser will pass the authorization back to X1 Search automatically.
- Your account will now be connected, and data will begin syncing within the application.
Notes
- You must complete authentication in the browser window—this cannot be done directly inside X1 Search.
- Make sure pop-ups or redirects are not being blocked by your browser.
- If authentication fails, try signing out of Google in your browser and repeating the process.
