Gmail Two-Step Authentication (2FA) Setup

X1 Search fully supports Google’s two-step authentication (2FA), and the setup process is quick and straightforward.

How to Authenticate Your Gmail or Google Drive Account

  1. Open X1 Search and navigate to Configured Data Sources.
  2. Select either Gmail or Google Drive to begin the authentication process.
  3. Your default web browser will automatically open to the Google sign-in page.

Complete the Google Sign-In

  1. Sign in with the Google account you want to connect (if you are not already logged in).
  2. If two-step authentication is enabled on your account, complete the verification step (e.g., approve the prompt, enter a code, etc.).
  3. Review the requested permissions and click Allow or Continue to grant access.

 

Finalize in X1 Search

  1. Once authentication is complete, the browser will pass the authorization back to X1 Search automatically.
  2. Your account will now be connected, and data will begin syncing within the application.

Notes

  • You must complete authentication in the browser window—this cannot be done directly inside X1 Search.
  • Make sure pop-ups or redirects are not being blocked by your browser.
  • If authentication fails, try signing out of Google in your browser and repeating the process.
